•Tailored structured courses that move at your speed and pace to meet agreed specific objectives with structured progress and feedback after every lesson and emailed to you for reference. The structured course measures your progress on over 32 key learning areas and lets you know the level you have reached so that you can understand your progress and the areas of development. •VW Polo training car selected because of its quality, size, agility and safety aspects combined with the cabin size, comfort and security of a much larger car. Voted the What Car small car of the year 2019, it has a cabin size that will surprise you and allows drivers of any size to manage this agile car for all of the difficult manoeuvers. The 95HP engine makes it very easy to drive and therefore ideal to build confidence in during the early stages as well as having enough power for lessons on dual carriageways with safety.
•He-Man Dual Controls fitted for ultimate safety (Yours and mine)
•Support for all aspects of passing your theory and practical driving test and onward preparation for a lifetime of safe and confident motoring. Todays test requires you to pass your theory and Hazard Perception tests before booking a Practical Driving Test. They can be achieved in advance of lessons but doing them at the same time strengthens the knowledge by using them practically. We will support you through these stages and many free help forums plus explanations can be found in our FAQ's and Useful Links pages.
•Friendly, patient and experienced Instructor with over 30 years driving experience on the roads and race tracks of Europe. While my experience of race tracks may not seem an obvious benefit for safe driving on our roads there is a great saying that to finish first, first you must finish. This requires good forward planning, acute car awareness and driving appropriately using car positioning and control to avoid accidents and trouble. All of these skills alongside driving in many different countries has developed my core techniques for meeting any driving challenges that come along. It is these core competencies I will pass on and measure as we move through your personalised structured syllabus.
•Teaching driving skills for life – not just for a test or with quick shortcuts. My belief is that my role is to produce drivers that have the core skills to drive that will be with them for life. I do not want drivers that just follow a book but drivers that can observe, evaluate and act appropriately for any occurrence they find themselves in on the road. This does not mean it takes longer and in fact in can be shorter as students learn to evaluate new situations and work out themselves how to deal with them without me needing to teach them.
• Pass Plus and Motorway skills training for drivers who have recently passed their test. We greatly encourage that all new drivers take at least 5 hours of extra tuition and practice after passing their practical test. This should include as a minimum sessions on Motorways, Sessions at night and sessions in a different busy city centre. These can be done in either our instructor car or your own car. These are the final confidence skills to ensure that every new driver has the skills and confidence to drive in todays driving conditions.
• Refresher courses for drivers who have not driven for a while or wish to update their skills before accompanying a learner driver. Many rules and techniques may have changed since your test and it helps build confidence in your learner driver if the same language and techniques are used during their practice outside of the lessons. If booked alongside a block of lessons extra discount for this extra session may be available. I became an instructor 30 years after taking my driving test and know the gap that can exist. Part of the journey I made to become a driving instructor was to pass the current test and know the gaps you may have and how to fill them quickly so that the extra practice you can give a new driver has the maximum impact.
No gimmicks, wild promises or false claims just training a skill for life
